The best place to see my drawings is on tumblr, which acts as my gallery. This page highlights my handmade works.

Soft Sculpture Pigeon

I made this pigeon out of fabric scraps, wire, thread, and stuffed animal eyes. It took a lot of time and effort to make. Initially, I followed a pattern to make the body of the pigeon- a simple cotton plushie. I then stuffed it until it was firm and added legs I made from wire. After installing the eyes and wrapping the wire-legs with thread, I added countless small feathers to the body. It was a complicated project, but a very fun one.

Going into it, I had the thought of making soft sculptures like these to sell. The materials don't cost much, after all! But the time... It took about ten hours to make this one little pigeon.

Scrap Fish

Little fish plushies made from scraps of fabric and thread I have lying around. I like to do things with my hands when I'm stressed or worried, so I decided to try making one each time I feel overwhelmed and don't know what to do. When I sew, I usually put a lot of energy into making sure my work is up to my standards. These fish are simple to make, though, and I think part of their charm is their jankiness. Here's a link to a video tutorial on how to make them if you'd like to try it yourself!

Dragon Armwarmers

Armwarmers crafted using luxury shag faux fur. They are lined with 100% cotton on the inside for comfort. The scales are hand-trimmed. Each pair takes about 5 hours to make. I machine-sew the interior lining before hand-stitching it and the faux fur pieces together. While I could save a lot of time machine-sewing everything, this would create some annoying interior seams that get in the wearer's way. Hand-stitching provides the cleanest results.
